As the saying goes, ‘living small yet living it all’, we at our practice have
taken up the design challenge to design a tiny house for a client who adopts a
less is more kind of an attitude. The plan simply includes an entrance lobby, a
spacious master bedroom suite and a restroom. The architectural massing of
the house however has a complicated element of quirk borrowed from its
neighboring landmark structure to extend itself to its surrounding design
language.
The client’s expertise in origami has inspired us to introduce
origami based rigid cut outs on the wall and also entertain rigid skylights. The
staircase design is simply a class interpretation of a basic paper folding and
that feeds our desire to always design a stunning element of connection!
