Restoration of the Open Space: Reviving Natural Beauty

Our extensive restoration project has transformed a once-damaged open space, previously impacted by infrastructure work for rainwater harvesting, back into a thriving natural habitat. Through meticulous soil nourishment, strategic planting of complementary species, and a strong emphasis on indigenous flora, we have revitalised the landscape. Recognising water as a crucial ecosystem component, a pond was incorporated into the scheme, ensuring it supports a diverse array of insect species, enriching biodiversity and promoting pollination.

To attract and support butterflies and other beneficial insects, plant species were carefully selected based on the native butterflies and insects found on-site. Today, the park is teeming with birds, small mammals, and reptiles. Human activity has been thoughtfully limited to a designated walking track, minimising disturbance to the natural habitat and reducing pollution risks from litter and noise.
