FILLER SLAB

Filler slab is an alternate slab construction technology where part of concrete in the bottom of slab is replaced by filler material, in this case with terracotta pots. Mud plaster is recommended on top of shuttering sheets to ensure an even smooth finish of the ceiling. The reinforcements are laid in a grid pattern and the filler material is arranged in between. Provision for electrical points is provided wherever required followed by concreting. Proper curing is required for a period of 21 days before removing the shuttering.
